These pendants are modeled after a young sperm whale named PHYSTY who was found ill and beached on the shores of Long Island, NY back in 1981. This piece is the start of a NEW partnership with Gaelin Rosenwaks @gaelingoexplore - a marine scientist, photographer, and filmmaker who is currently working on a new film @findingphysty - a story about whales and family. Staring into the eyes of such a beautiful creature at such a young age sparked Gaelin's curiosity for the undersea world. It is no wonder that she has followed a path of marine science, ocean exploration, and conservation.
